SUPPLIES AND OPTIONS

Here are some of the ideas and options we offer:

Any component that we use or fabricate to build these systems we make available to you.

  • Aquarium lighting: If you would like to light your aquarium there is plenty of room for lighting from below and with the coroplast bottom it gives both the aquarium and tank model a nice glow and different colored bulbs can be added for the color of your choice.

  • Grow light bars: Fully adjustable. The light bars, seed tray, and the tier tray lock [normally located at the top] are a one piece unit and therefore can be located anywhere in the stack. Great for growing in basements, the back side of a window, or any low sun light areas.

  • Tier tray extensions: The tray extension and the tier tray lock are a one piece unit and can be used for seed starter trays, flower pots, etc. Some even like using them for decorative ornaments.

  • Tier tray feet: Will fit the bottom of all tier trays. These tier tray feet are designed to be used for any application from aquariums, tanks, table tops, or even on the ground. They are also used when growing in the tier trays without the fish aquarium or tank. One set would be needed for each tray that sits independently, or for all first tier tray and then you could add as many locks and trays as you like up to seven tiers high like with the floor model. All of the locks are the same and adding weight actually adds to stability.

  • Planter model: Maybe you would like to have just an attractive planter. Lots of sizes and lengths are available and the top tier tray end types have a rounded top and are therefore used for the single planter trays in this case. It is the same tray used to top off any tier stack you would like to build and they also have a one inch hole in the top ends for adding a tube drip or spray system for a faucet timer for growing with tier trays only.

  • Rafting inserts: The most inexpensive way to turn any aquarium or fish tank into an Aquaponic system. Not just Styrofoam, we build these rafts with the same materials to match the units.

  • You can get considerable growth with one of our table model aquariums, a rafting insert, a tier tray or two, and just a small pump. There are lots of smaller leafy plants that do very well in these rafts. Lettuce for instance will grow great in these floating pots.

Special colors: If you would like a certain color or stain on all of the wood areas of the system to match the interior of your home or furniture we generally charge an extra 45.00 on the S18 and S35 and 60.00 for the longer S48 and S61 models

The changing of colors on the exterior of the tier trays would be an added 35.00 and 45.00.

Another benefit to the vertical tier tray system is that it operates as a great accumulation filtering system as the tank water drops from tray to tray. We have a unit operating more than a year now the water still remains crystal clear so you will never have any changing of filters and cleaning fish tanks.

For the growing medium what we use here and recommend that you use the clay pebbles and activated charcoal. The coir fiber we find can sometimes stop up the filtering system according to the quality of how it was made but still works great for the starter trays.

Special orders:

We offer a standard of 4 lengths to choose from in both the JPA – S and JPA – L models but if you have that special place in mind and must have a certain length we will build it for you for no extra charge. The price would only be calculated to the next standard size.

We build and ship according to the customer’s needs so usually special lengths will delay the shipment very little if any. We have no huge warehouse full of product that we must move first.
